I photographed Rainbow Kitten Surprise on the NYC leg of their tour. Webster Hall was sold out on album release night for Love Hate Music Box – RKS’ fourth album.
TYLER MEIR
Singer Tyler Meir, from Caamp, opened the show with some familiar songs, along with one song he has been working on. Meir covered “Dreams Tonite” by Alvvays with the drummer and guitar player from RKS.
Meir closed his set and the room lit up. Fans began to mingle as anticipation grew for Rainbow Kitten Surprise to take the stage.
RAINBOW KITTEN SURPRISE
Waves of excitement surged through the audience as the iconic RKS logo illuminated with vivid blues, fiery reds, and vibrant greens, each color change synchronized with the rhythm of the music.
The crowd’s energy was contagious. I found myself bobbin’ my head along to the songs, even though I wasn’t familiar every song RKS performed.
Thank you to RKS and the fans for such a fun show. Photographing this band, especially on their new album release night, was an honor.
