Welcome to the All Born Screaming Tour, brought to you by St. Vincent!
The Tulsa-born musician, also known as Annie Clark, electrified the intimate stage of Milan’s Fabrique by delivering an unforgettable performance, with opening support from the mesmerizing electronic tones of the talented Anna B Savage.

Annie just hits different when she’s screaming and shredding in your face.

The setting and the mastery in the interactions with the crowd and her band were laid out from the beginning. Starting with “Reckless”, through the first notes of her hit single “Los Ageless”, to the renowned record “MASSEDUCTION”, and all the way to the end with a relaxed and contemplating rendition of “Somebody Like Me”.
Bass player Charlotte Kemp Muhl locking eyes with Annie is a moment etched in our minds—whether it’s the night after the show or ten years down the line, this will forever be our roman empire.
The highlight of the setlist was definitely when it came time for “New York.”
Annie decided that the best way to approach one of the most gut-wrenching songs ever written in the history of humanity was to stage dive: and that’s exactly what she did.
She didn’t hold back the chance to proclaim to the crowd, “I’m a cunt!”, right after the lyrics confessing that the subject of the song was that the only person in the city that could handle her.
We appreciate the insight, Annie.
The overall energy put out in the world that night was something that quite rarely can be felt live.
The recorded version of the songs just couldn’t match the raw power exuded by Annie’s exquisite live vocals and guitar, Charlotte Kemp Muhl’s bass, Mark Guiliana’s drums (of which we want to shout-out the drums solo), Jason Falkner’s guitar (whose on-stage duets won’t ever be forgotten) and Rachel Eckroth’s keys and background vocals.
Ultimately, if St. Vincent is performing anywhere near you, we can’t recommend enough that you grab a ticket and experience Anne’s talent in its purest, most powerful form: live music.
