Wallows released “Your Apartment” on February 16th, 2024. This song was highly anticipated by Wallows fans across the globe, especially since there hasn’t been a new release in over two years.

Kenzie said, “I absolutely loved ‘Your Apartment’ and I am excited to be at the beach and play it. I love how the song progresses and unfolds the narrative like the immediate switch from ‘I promise I get your sentiment,’ to ‘Who’s been at your apartment’- I love it. I saw Wallows on the Nothing Happens Tour in 2019 and it remains one of my favorite concerts ever. ‘Your Apartment’ also reminds me a lot of the Nothing Happens album; sounding like ‘Remember When’ and ‘Treacherous Doctor.’ Nothing Happens is an album I can listen to all the way through with no skips, so I am excited to see what’s next!”
Andi said, “GOSH. It has been so exciting to see every Wallows era since day one. To me, the eras represent different parts of my own life, as well as each their own unique feelings of growing up. Amanda said, “I think that ‘Your Apartment’ is the perfect combination of all of the Wallows eras so far. I hear both the alternative grunginess of Nothing Happens and the sweet upbeatness of Tell Me That It’s Over and I really enjoy the infusion of their past works into their newest project. This song is perfect for the infectious, radiant energy of Wallows shows. After two years, I think “Your Apartment” is a triumphant comeback track for the band and serves its purpose of getting the fans excited for what’s to come. I cannot wait to hear what else these guys have up their sleeves.”

After seeing their musical journey since 2018, getting ready to hear their third album feels surreal. ‘Your Apartment’ entails all of my favorite things about Wallows; the song is upbeat, it grows and swells as the song goes on, and the lyrics are personal and relatable. Like many of the people here at AFZ, I also predict that this upcoming album is going to have a mix of elements that are similar to their debut album, Nothing Happens. The single they released brings me back to 2019, with its energy and fast-pace reminding me of how I felt moshing to ‘Remember When’.
