“I always tell the girls, never take it seriously, if ya never take it seriously, ya never get hurt, ya never get hurt, ya always have fun, and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends.”
— Penny Lane (Almost Famous, 2000)

Welcome to Almost Famous, a zine run by Andi, Ella, and Madalyn, with a team of lovely contributors from all over the globe. We’re proud of our all women and/or queer team and the content we’re able to share. Our philosophy is simple: life should be enjoyed without taking ourselves too seriously. We believe in the power of self-expression and encourage everyone to create art on their own terms. Through this zine, we aim to introduce you to a community of like-minded individuals who have pursued their passions and produced incredible work. We are thrilled to bring you on this exciting journey, and can’t wait for you to meet and learn about the inspiring people we admire.
Almost Famous Zine has only been possible due to the amazing individuals that share their work with us. Behind every great organization lies a team of dedicated contributors, working to achieve remarkable goals. Here at AFZ, we take immense pride in introducing you to the heartbeat of our success – our extraordinary team.

When Mad is not at a concert or traveling, they are a HHA/DSP for people with disabilities and are a caregiver for children. With having to manage the daily life for others through their job, Mad realized how those skills can transfer into her passions- loving music and how it connects people, while also ensuring those around them are okay and where they need to be. Madalyn has experience as a tour photographer and is looking for more touring opportunities. You can count on Mad; they will always be ready for something on the go.
